The reviews stated tat this was compatible with the iPhone 5S, it is not

Elaine, Amazon
29 December 2013
  • Summary: My son was so excited on Christmas morning and wanted to get it set up right away, unfortunately when he opened it, he realized it was not compatible with his iPhone 5. Have to send it back and begin the search for one that is compatible with his phone.

Display product as stated in description but buttons don't work even with iphone docked and ihome app...

Carla "carla polycarpo", Amazon
4 October 2013
  • Summary: I am disappointed at the product because the buttons don't work even with iphone docked and ihome app. Also, it doesn't have an instruction manual... Although it is a display product, I don't understand why it can't have the instructions and why the buttons don't work. In any case, it wouldn't be fair with the vendor (that seems to be an honest person) to leave a bad rating.

IHome App Enhanced dock/charger

CheriAnn R. Oliver, Amazon
24 August 2013
  • Summary: IHome products are complimentary to Apple devices. I chose this product because of the small footprint and functionality. It provides the service I was seeking. However, the company does not provide adapters should they be needed. Adapters are available, but have to research them yourself. For the most part this is a good product and I would recommend the purchase.

Not bad for what I needed it for

Flossiegirl, Kohls.de

  • Summary: It was a Christmas gift. It works well, it charges my phone and Ipod, it has a battery backup. Wanted it for my college dorm but couldn't fit it in my suitcase. Overall I would recommend it.

  • Summary: This was a christmas gift for my lil brother. he absolutely loves his Ihome. Only drawback is that it does not come with a remote control. if it did it would definitely get 5 stars. Still a great purchase. Saved some money from the in store retail price.

So So

Drew N., Amazon
30 December 2011
  • Summary: Nice size. Has some serious quirks and the updated app(s) for it are not all that user friendly. Overnight News doesn't work at all, buttons on the backside are tough to feel out. A bit gaudy when iPhone isn't docked in. Probably the future of iPhone integration into the sleep place but needs more work. If not an early adopter, beware.

Ruined by an App update.

J. Packard, Amazon
5 December 2011
  • Summary: This alarm clock worked perfectly with my iPhone 4S until iHome updated the iHome+Sleep app that is required for it to work. It worked flawlessly, everyday for the 5 weeks I owned it ... but on Dec 2nd they updated the app, and now this is complete junk. The App crashes constantly, so don't count on it actually working when you want it to. If it doesn't crash, the update made it so that the alarm clock will not go off if you lock your phone or turn off the screen now.

Just Okay

Nerd Alert, Amazon
7 October 2011
  • Summary: Owning a higher end iHome device (iA9), the sound on this unit seems empty, lacking much depth. However, this is also a much cheaper unit, making that a reasonable sacrifice. I think this was designed more for people who want to just use it as an alarm clock or for listening to music while working, and for that it works well. Many complaints in the reviews boil down to: 1) the iPod connector is flimsy and 2) the snooze button is hard to hit behind the phone.
