poor case construction

  • Summary: The reason I chose this rating is because I did not get a chance to listen to the product as the case broke upon opening and it has been returned. The case is wonderful looking with nice metal rims around top and bottom portions around opening. The case remains closed by two magnets situated under the bottom metal rim. The problem is they use nice strong magnets which appear not to be connected to the case itself.

  • Summary: Just bought this speaker for $250 so I could use it in an antique car with no stereo. I tested the sound in the store and was satisfied. I wished it came with a DC to USB power/charger cable but was fairly confident I could find one. (Seems stupid that they wouldn't have considered that people would like the option to charge off of a computer or other USB source like a cigarette lighter) So I found a USB adapter to charge off the cigarette lighter USB plug.

  • Summary: its ok, i don't think there is enough value here. i own the "fox xl " speaker. no FM, but has a mic for calls, sound is on par maybe better w the fox xl, and 50.00 less, smaller, lighter, longer battery life, and much beefier...all metal. i think a "travel" speaker should be more robust since you have to move about with it. this increases your chances of dropping it. so it should be sturdy.
  • Pros: i confess it is a cool design. hard case is cool idea but kinda heavy.
  • Cons: when opened have to line up 2 metal contacts =awkward, to get it to work. sound is average. hinge is flimsy. case is heavy. ac cord is awkward to attach when open as is the line in. no usb charging. its not beefy enough to travel with.

In vielerlei Hinsicht untauglich für das, was es sein will.

  • Summary: Das Gerät wird vermarktet als Hifi-Reiseradio.
