Summary: I have used this radio for a few days now, and I am very satisfied with its performance. I will look at installation, build quality and then its functionality step-by-step. And then provide a summarizing comment Installation - Mine was second hand, and the batteries were already installed. No other installation required. Just tilt it up, and you're good to go. The connection of the cables can be a bit cumbersome, but all in all very easy set-up.
Summary: The reason I chose this rating is because I did not get a chance to listen to the product as the case broke upon opening and it has been returned. The case is wonderful looking with nice metal rims around top and bottom portions around opening. The case remains closed by two magnets situated under the bottom metal rim. The problem is they use nice strong magnets which appear not to be connected to the case itself.
Generally good, but agree about the cheap plastic teeth

Summary: I generally don't write reviews, but since this product is kind of esoteric as not a lot of people probably buy this, I figured I would do a review. I think the size is great, very practical and portable, as advertised. It comes with a felt bag which fits just the speaker, but not the electrical charger. I think this is somewhat impractical. The speaker works on Bluetooth and with a wire.
Summary: I bought 3 of these as gifts - they are small and light and so very portable. The folding feature is very awkward because it's difficult to plug in or remove the charger or a line in when the speakers are working.Almost immediately several of the little plastic parts broke - though they are all still working and used I prefer the Bose portable speaker that I bought at the same time for my son.
Summary: After 2 days the unit stopped working. The problem is the little plastic 'teeth' that clip into the clam shell. They need to meet for the speaker to turn on. But they don't line up very easily and I cannot get it to work. There are other reviews on the Internet with the same problem. It's useless now. I purchased it online from Expansys. They won't take it back! Waste of $200. When it did work for those 2 days it had a great sound. Don't buy this product.
Summary: After an initial struggle to plug in the battery, the battery plug is tiny and the socket is situated so near the edge of the battery compartment that it is nearly inaccessible. I needed to use needle-nose pliers to be able to hold the plug and insert it. My fingers are just too big. But having overcome that difficulty, I am very pleased that all the features of the XS work well. The sound quality and volume are excellent.
Summary: I tried using my iphone as my primary alarm, but after about a week I would shut it off and just go back to sleep. This is the primary reason why I bought this and it solved my problem! on top of being useful as an alarm, the Geneva works well as a portable speaker. The sound quality is much better than you would expect and the design makes it very easy to transport. If you have the same trouble I did waking up in the morning then buy this.
Summary: Menu system is a bit unintuituve at first, but not terrible. There is a full sound, but expect no base out of it -- exceeding 56 or so on the volume menu causes distortion sustained a drop of about 2ft when a friend accidentally brushed by it and knocked it off the end table -- the minimal force and short fall was enough to snap off the flimsy plastic hinges which hold it to the case.
