    A nice piece of kit. The price is a bit crazy, but that is Bose for you. The swivel out door for the iPod is a bit dodgy, and it would be nice if it had some equalizing features, but overall I'd buy it again. Read more

    The Bose SoundDock portable is a very nice niche product. Here in Florida we spend a lot of time at the Pool. By law, there isn't a lot of AC power available at a swimming pool so portable audio devices are a must. The problem has been, that no Radio station plays my songs and only my songs. ;) And only one person can listen to a portable device with headphones. CDs just don't get it. Too few songs per CD and a real PITA if you are going to put a couple of thousand songs... Read more

    is play at fairly loud levels. It will fill up a room, or provide good levels outside on deck or porch. And it does so without the buzzes and rattles I've experienced with other products. What it does not do well is play music with tonal accuracy. It is pleasant, but nowhere near what's in the file. It will play lower (usable down to around 60hz, never distorted or overdriven). It will not give you any soundstage at all. You have to put your nose on the casing to get any... Read more
