Summary: the beosound 8 will not work with an ipod 5th generation with click wheel or an ipod 4th generation with click wheel. here is how the B&O customer care agent put it: "I am sorry to inform you that we do not support these two iPod's for BeoSound 8. If you got any other iPod's you want to connect, please let me know and I will look to see if they are supported. Sorry for the negative answer.
Summary: I bought BeoSound 8 for my new iPhone 5 and my wife's iPad4 However it does NOT sync with either model but only to older models iPhone 3 or iPad2, so I had to send it back. On the other hand, Amazon promptly sent me a return label, then gave me a refund right away, so I'm truly appreciative of Amazon !!!
Summary: this product is not supported by Bang......my ipod would play but would not show any graphics .....customer service would not respond to request for help....endlessly frustrating....given the price of the machine..

Summary: I bought this speaker, on May 5 th and it stopped working on May 26. It would not power on. I was having a large party and it just stopped playing, ruined my party. The speaker has no power switch but goes on when you plug it in. Well if it's working it does. For the couple of weeks that it worked it sounded pretty good, not as loud as I hoped though when I bought it. Returning it to Amazon, and will no longer purchase B & O products.
Summary: If you plan to buy this, then you should do so from Amazon and NOT the Bang and Olufsen store. I recently purchased the BeoSound 8 from an actual Bang and Olufsen store (See address below) Although I thought the system was pretty good it did not meet my expectation in sound quality I have come to expect from Bang Olufsen. When I attempted to return to the store I purchased from within 4 days.
Summary: I listened to and examined this dock thoroughly and was not impressed. I can conclude that it is just another over-priced and over-hyped item like so many that are currently dominating consumer electronics. First, it may sound decent to you, but it's not worth the money, I have heard real stereo speakers and the difference is night and day even to my old JBLs from the 70s.
Summary: NICE DESIGN, BUT TOTALLY IMPRACTICAL. I COULD NOT FIGURE OUT HOW TO TURN IT ON. BE WARNED, IT ASKS YOU FOR A PIN NUMBER TO PLAY. HUH? THAT IS SO STUPID. YOU ARE PAYING FOR THE DESIGN FOR THAT PRICE. STAY AWAY.
