Great sound - very poor connectivity: stay away

Summary: The sound is great - but WLAN connectivity is a mess. My first new Beolit12 could not hold a WLAN connection for more than 15 minutes. I completely reconfigured my network based on B&O email support advice. No success. Then I exchanged my Beolit12 for a new one. Again drop-outs and loss of connection after 10-15 minutes. B&O seems to know about the problems from the very beginning - why don't they try to upgrade the firmware which is 2.5 years old?
Summary: Do I like the audio quality of the Beolit 12 - YES, but that is where my happiness with this device ends. While I never had an issue with AirPlay upon first purchasing the Beolit 12, after the company provided the 1st software update the device began dropping constantly - an issue that continues to plague my listening to such an extent I typically listen with the iPhone plugged into the Beolit 12.
Summary: This product worked for 3 months and then suddenly shut down. I've spent hours on the phone trying to sort out the problem. It's come down to B and O blaming my internet provider vs the internet company blaming B and O. Either way I'm now soundless. Worst of all is the constant " I told you so" from my wife who had a problem with another B and O product years ago. Ah well... The top surface serves as a good recharging station for our cellphones.
the wireless performance should be PERFECT for this pricepoint

Summary: I work in IT. I configure cisco / HP procurve wireless controllers and accesspoints for at work so I know and u derstand wireless. This product has wireless problems everywhere!! I paied $600 which is more reasonable then $800, but back to amazon it goes! Seriously, the wireless performance should be PERFECT for this pricepoint. I am using an apple airport extreme at home which performs flawless with all other airplay devices.
Summary: In rebuilding my environment after a recent move (that won't be my last), I'm attempting a bit of minimalism... i.e. my bookshelves all fold. After considering a few other portable speakers and soundbar systems, I impulse purchased the Beolit 12 at a brick-and-mortar store (marked down). I was assured the unit was brand new, though the box was scuffed. On returning home I unboxed... to discover that the power cable was missing (boo!).
Tried them all and this is the best with a few caveats.

Summary: Sound docks have been a hobby and an addiction for me. I have owned and used the following: original George, Harman Kardon Go Play, B&W Zeppelin, NAD Viso One, Arcam rCube, Marantz Consolette, and probably a few I have forgotten. I can state without hesitation that the Beolit 12 is absolutely the best sounding dock/speaker of any of these period. The amazing part is that it also the smallest.
Summary: Cant believe B&O did such a defective product at this price! Wifi is almost impossible to set up, did it 6 times before it Finally worked. Then i get constant drops. If I hadnt brought it outside US i would return it.
Sound is amazing but Wifi and battery are terrible

Summary: The sound is absolutely amazing! But the wifi and battery are terrible. Even though my house is well covered with WiFi, the Beolit reports "poor signal" no matter where I place it. While using AirPlay, the Beolit is the only of my multiple AirPlay speakers to have drop outs - near continuous drop out. Usually on a drop out the Beolit will not recover. Instead, I have to power cycle the unit.
