AirPlay could be better. Still excellent speaker and loud enough for a master bedroom.

Summary: I'm going to start by saying that the sound quality is superb on this speaker... I've had this speaker for a bit under a week. I like it a lot!, but just like other people have mentioned, it disconnects and the streaming falls back to the iOS device. Observation: I've noticed that this would only happen if I'm handling the iOS device (browsing the internet, texting on iOS device etc) If I start streaming and put the iPhone or iPad down, the streaming will go on without...
visually attractive and sounds great. When it works

Summary: I have to agree with many of the other reviewers here, and the far more numerous reviews on the Apple.com site. This speaker is well designed, visually attractive and sounds great. When it works. The Airplay support is extremely unreliable. I succeeded in setting it up after several attempts before it found my network and allowed me to complete the setup and register the product. Then it dropped the connection and I had to rescan and finally set it up all over again.
Summary: I was a bit worried before purchase seeing some 1 and 2 stars reviews here, pulled the trigger anyway because wife would like a music system in the bedroom. The unit came promptly, set up was easy with iPhone, and it sounds beautifully. Quite a full range sound, with decent bass and none fatiguing high. And using a high quality Apple Time Capsule as router at home, we experinced no connection issue whatsoever. I am really happy with the purchase.
Summary: Not too sure why other reviews say the airplay is unreliable , I have been using this for 6 months without a problem . I've used it with normal routers and also an airport extreme . It comes out of sleep mode the second its called upon from my phone , computer of apple tv. . If your room is very large , I would recommend the larger A7 . The A5 works perfectly for a master bedroom , large kitchen or medium size living room. I am very happy with this device.
Summary: PROS: -Look good. -Decent sound quality for a network device. -Built-in 3.5 mm jack to connect other sound sources. CONS: -Airplay is a joke. The speaker constantly chokes on playback even if the router is just a few meters away. -Buttons are placed for better look, not for easier control. Once the speaker is put on a shelf, using any controls might be problematic. Sonos has controls on the top, which is much more convenient.
Summary: Outstanding sound and very rich bass - and it can get loud. (Was thinking of A7 but this was smaller and cheaper and suited my needs.) Previous reviews mentioned Airplay set up being wonky - it was simple and fast for me. Your mileage may vary. I would highly recommend (and sounds better than any Bose product I've heard).
Summary: The best speaker-amplifier I have ever had, and can be monitored from my iPad or my iPhone. Fidelity is much better than on Bose SoundLink, which tend to have a very heavy bass. Once you have listened to the A5, everything else appears to be inferior.
Summary: Have had no of the issues the others reported. Setup took less than 5 min to load the app into my Mac and run it found my network immidiately it was then visable to all my other devices. I was looking for a light airplay speaker I could easily take outside. The A5 seemed to fit the bill but even with the refurbished discout it was still costly and the reviews have been mixed for all A5's all reviewed the soud as very good to excelent but very mixed on ease of...
Pros: Sound and ease of setup
Cons: Still pricey even with dicound but sound quality makes it worth it
Summary: The product looks great but does not connect to AirPlay as it advertises. I tried multiple times and also tried with the tech support representative, and it did not work. Inaccurately advertised as AirPlay compatible.
