Summary: Have had no of the issues the others reported. Setup took less than 5 min to load the app into my Mac and run it found my network immidiately it was then visable to all my other devices. I was looking for a light airplay speaker I could easily take outside. The A5 seemed to fit the bill but even with the refurbished discout it was still costly and the reviews have been mixed for all A5's all reviewed the soud as very good to excelent but very mixed on ease of...
Pros: Sound and ease of setup
Cons: Still pricey even with dicound but sound quality makes it worth it
Summary: The product looks great but does not connect to AirPlay as it advertises. I tried multiple times and also tried with the tech support representative, and it did not work. Inaccurately advertised as AirPlay compatible.
Looks great, but I decided to return it right away.

Summary: Pros: Strong amplifier. Beautiful design Cons: Depends on digital volume management, which leads to the problems I describe later I ordered mine, and the packaging is excellent. The product is beautifully designed, and setting up with AirPlay is very easy once you download the control app.
Summary: As an audio enthusiast, I currently own the wonderful A7 and used to own the iconic Zeppelin Air (30 pin). Based on B&W's audio expertise, I purchased this unit for my small dining room. If you haven't heard the big brothers (A7 or Zeppelin Air), you might consider that this unit sound amazing. Yes, the openness and warmth of B&W is present and it is a definite improvement over a Bose sound dock.
Pros: Sleek design, open and warm sound. Airplay.
Cons: No subwoofer compared to its big brothers, no 24/96 up sampling dac, no toslink input.
Summary: Unfortunately, the drivers on my unit came damaged. Even at low volumes, you'd hear a raspy sound. Crutchfield gladly offered to send right away a replacement unit, but I declined, because I believe depending on digital volume management (i.e. the iTunes volume slider) is a fundamental flaw of this product. The speakers have volume buttons (+/-) but what these do is send a digital signal through AirPlay asking the controlling computer/phone to lower the volume.
Pros: Strong amplifier. Beautiful design. Packaging is excellent. Setting up with AirPlay is very easy. Did I say beautiful design already?
Cons: Depends on digital volume management, which leads to the problems I described above
Summary: I bought this and a few other systems to compare and wanted to keep one. The sound quality was the best of all (Panasonic, Bose, Sony, iHome, and a Libratone), design is far superior, and I like the remote. For those who complain about the Airplay... it's probably not the unit. I found the problem to be with the wi-fi connection and sound quality (podcasts which are very low quality never freeze but a high quality song will occasionally freeze).
Summary: Great product. Streaming seamlessly in less than 10 minutes. Have had the speaker for about a month and have not dropped the airplay signal yet. Sounds great at medium sound. At very low sound levels product seems a littly bass heavy to me.
Summary: I just received my A5 unit today and tested it out in my bedroom. My bedroom is 10' x 12' with 9' ceilings here in NYC. Sound quality was great considering the system form factor and overall size. The unit could use a bit more emphasis on the highs, however that may be due to room placement. I consider myself a moderate level audiophile and own other higher end B&W gear.
