4.9 STARS!!! Wireless snooze! Awesome.
24 February 2013
Summary: This is the best alarm clock ever! The wireless snooze is the best, dual alarm control from the wireless snooze, awesome. Great sound but honestly I wish it was bigger sound. I would pay for wicked sound and this kind of function. Don't tell me my iPod can do what I want it to because it cant. each alarm can wake you to iPod, radio or AUX. different radio stations and different volume settings. Dimmer for the brightness of the display.
Summary: Just to keep this review in perspective, I primarily use the Lansing speakers as an alarm clock; I'll listen to music for a little while immediately after I get up, but I live in a studio and listen to my stereo if I want music. Pros - Fine control over alarms. there are two alarms, and one can individually control whether they go off all week, week days only, or weekends only. - Can control how long to snooze for for each alarm.
Summary: I purchased this to compliment my ipod touch. It performs very well, doesn't take up a lot of space and it does what I had hoped it would. My only draw back is the remote control. It is extremely small, can be misplaced very easily or lost. The controls are very sensitive which makes it a bit tricky to use. Other than the remote I can't think of anything that would stop you from purchasing this great unit.
Summary: The unit is great for my 11 year old daughter. She loves the iPod dock and the glowing light. Our only issue was that when playing the iPod the radio would play faintly in the background and could not be turned off. It took a couple weeks but we were able to return it to Altec and they sent a new one with no problem. Now my daughter is happy with it. The wireless remote control and alarm buttons are nice too.
Summary: Received Product In Record Time, Was Also In Excellent Condition Upon Arrival. Was The "Big" Gift For My Teenage Son This Past Christmas. He Really Loves It!! Looks Great On His Bedside Table Too! For The Price, It Has Very Good Sound,Features A Clock Radio And Even Docks Your iPod! We(Both)Are To Date, Very Happy With This Purchase.
Summary: I bought the Altec Lansing M402SR iPod dock for my teenage daughter as a Christmas present. She had a cheap drugstore brand iPod dock / alarm clock before and she really disliked the sound. I read some reviews that made me believe the M402SR would be a much better choice for somebody that appreciates sound quality. In fact, she's very pleased with it. The sound, although not stunning, is quite good for a unit of its size.
Summary: Considering the many different offerings for Ipod clock radios, this Altec Lansing stood out as being one of the more attractive formats. The set-up and operation is relatively easy but most likely will require walking through the user manual. I think the sound quality is great. Considering I was able to find a seller willing to sell this product for less than $100 and at a price well below many other online retailers, this was a great purchase.
Summary: Overall an elegant, great sounding speaker system for my Ipod. As a bachelor, I wanted to avoid the college dorm style I-Homes which scream for attention. This Altec system is sleak and sounds great from mid-range through treble. The bass is there, not great but it's there. Also the moon glow makes for a nice nightlight. This isn't something to give your grandmother to use.
