LAPTOP Magazine
1 April 2009
  • Summary: In the $129 Moondance Glow, Altec Lansing offers up an interesting take on an iPod alarm clock. The Moondance Glow's ease of use could be improved somewhat, but its fun extras--such as its ambient lighting--put it above competitors such as the iLuv iMM173.

Altec Lansing Moondance Glow

PC Magazine

  • Conclusion: An iPod dock-alarm clock with some interesting built-in ambient lighting and a wireless Snooze controller, the Moondance Glow has a few flaws but is an overall solid device.
  • Pros: Wireless Snooze control. Quality audio output. "Mood" lighting turns the wall behind the dock different colors.
  • Cons: Remote control offers limited iPod navigation. Audio distorts at high volumes. Only four radio presets.
