Customer service is terrible. They are outsourced

Summary: I'm fitness instructor, so I needed portable speakers to take with me for my private classes. I order two lansing speakers. Both of them I hardly had much than over a year, and they totally conked out on me. I primarily plugged them in an outlet for use.
Summary: MUST READ...the AC power stops working withing 24-30 months or much less. Had unit for approximately 30 months, AC just suddenly stopped. Theres a guy on here who says internally the piece soldered cracks. Will work with D batteries, but last very little and are $$$. Would be 5 STARS otherwise.

Summary: What a great sounding radio! Unfortunate to the many who purchased it there is a defect internally that disconnects AC power and renders the box useless. Mine would not power up so I borrowed a friends cord (same model) and it was still dead.
Summary: Bought this boom box in December 2010. Worked great, sounded AWESOME -- loved it so much that I bought the newer version, the IMT810 for my son in November 2011 as a Christmas gift. As of today, both units crapped out.
Summary: I'm lowering my rating from 4 to 1 stars because the device no longer works and is essentially expensive garbage. I'm disappointed to say the least. After working for about a year and a half, the A/C power stopped functioning.
Summary: Product broke 3 months after purchase after moderate use. I contacted customer service 3 times, and they responded with an automatic meaningless template and did nothing about it. Poor product quality and poor customer service. I would not recommend buying the product.
Summary: Bought an IMT800 in Jan.2011 and it lasted a couple of months before it went down with the same power supply/cord issue that many others have complained about. The first time we dealt with Altec's customer service it was good and they sent us an iMT800 replacement unit.
Summary: Purchased this from Amazon.com and received it on May 28, 2010. After only two weeks of use, the unit began to fail to power-on or play any audio (radio or recordings). What happened is I had the unit playing audio on battery power when I connected the AC adapter to wall socket and then connected to...
Summary: I bought this boom box for my fitness classes 2 month ago but, already back connection parts are broken. I just found out that they always have same problems with bad customer services. My 1year warranty is still usable but, people complaints about amount of times to fix and return.
Summary: This unit lasted about 1 week before it had problems. Lansing knows of the power issue, but refuses to do anything about it. I purchased the two year warranty and they don't respond to calls or emails. The support website does not respond to multiple inquires for support.
