Do not Purchase - Google this model plus "Power Adapter"

David Lear "Dave", Amazon
28 February 2013
  • Summary: What a great sounding radio! Unfortunate to the many who purchased it there is a defect internally that disconnects AC power and renders the box useless. Mine would not power up so I borrowed a friends cord (same model) and it was still dead.

Aaron C. Haupt, Amazon
27 December 2012
  • Summary: I am very impressed with the quality of sound that comes out of this machine. I have had it for over a year and have never had an issue with its functionality. I use this as my central device for my music, video games and movies and am very pleased with the quality of sound from each of these uses.

Updating my 5 star review

musicgal, Amazon
16 September 2012
  • Summary: Bought this boom box in December 2010. Worked great, sounded AWESOME -- loved it so much that I bought the newer version, the IMT810 for my son in November 2011 as a Christmas gift. As of today, both units crapped out.

UPDATE: DO NOT BUY

William Albeck, Amazon
22 July 2011
  • Summary: I'm lowering my rating from 4 to 1 stars because the device no longer works and is essentially expensive garbage. I'm disappointed to say the least. After working for about a year and a half, the A/C power stopped functioning.

Great as a boombox, but that's all!

Kvetch, Amazon
9 July 2011
  • Summary: So, when my Bose SoundDock died, I was so disgusted I decided to get something else, and got the Altec Lansing iMT800 instead. Well, it turns out that there's a very good reason it's called a "boombox," and there's a good reason all the ads for it show it being used outdoors at a barbecue party...

Clean Sound

Thomas p., Amazon
30 April 2011
  • Summary: I rate sound equipment on how it sounds on low volume. The iMT800 delivers a deep base and clean sound at this level. AS you increase the volume there is no distortion. Other people at work have commented on how good it sounds. In my opinion it outperforms the Bose.

Great Great Product!!

Constance Lingus "Connie", Amazon
29 April 2011
  • Summary: Like the other reviews say, this boombox rocks!!! It's rare when a product lives up to the hype, hence the review. I took this on vacation with many people so we would have music at a rental house. Every one was shocked at how much good sound it put out!!

What a system!

Daniel Moran "Damor", Amazon
23 October 2010
  • Summary: After reviewing several loud speakers with excellent sound quality for the Ipod (searching in Google something like "best ipod speakers 2010", etc.) It was pretty clear according to expert and user reviews that the search had to be narrowed down to the following systems: the Harman Barton Go+Play,...
