Summary: I was very excited about this product when I got it. It charged my iPod, had great sound quality, was very portable with good battery life, and got great reception with the radio. Unfortunately, like many prior reviews had warned (for both this product and other Altec Lansing devices), it stopped working after about 6 months. I can honestly say that I would never buy another Altec Lansing product.
Summary: We bought this speaker system in June of 2009. Within 2 weeks it stopped working, so we asked for a replacement. Got the replacement in July and within two months that one also stopped working. Got a 3rd replacement directly from the manufacturer and within a month it was having problems. It would randomly switch over to radio while playing a song on the ipod. Finally just asked for a refund and am still trying to get a FULL refund rather than partial.
Summary: After searching for an Ipod docking station for my patio, I am very disappointed with the Altec Lansing IMT702 speaker system. The good: The system is small, lightweight and relatively easy to use. It also feels somewhat fragile. It would be helpful to label the various cradle adaptors. Personally, I would prefer actual buttons to the touch controls. It was difficult to use outside at night. The bad: For the price, I was not expecting Bose quality.
Summary: I got the inmotion speakers a few months ago, used it less than 10 times and it broke (basically it shorts out after it has been on for a few minutes and takes on a mind of its own). Altec is replacing it, but I would not purchase it again.
Summary: The product works pretty well, although I agree with other reviewers that the buttons are kind of glitchy - they should have just gone with pressure sensitive buttons. Sometimes, no matter what button you push, the result is that the volume goes up. Weird. The design otherwise works well. The sound is good, an it's cool to be able to go cordless with it. Aside from all that, the product completely stopped working after less than 6 months.
annoyed and disappointed: Worked AWESOME, for a day....

Summary: This worked amazingly well for the first few timesi used it. I was so excited abotu having it in my life. I mean really. And then... the battery died while playing music (which had happened before because i was using it so much) So I plugged it in to charge it. Then it started flashing lights, and the volume went all the way up to max on its own. It told me to reset. I didn't see a reset button anywhere, so I unpluggged and tried again. Kept doing this.
Summary: Got this in late January and it stopped palying sound in May. Still lights up and charges iPods, but no sound. While it worked, the sound was very good for the size. Maybe I got a bum unit-very disapointing.
Summary: I bought it to use and charge my Ipod touch - it does this but at the same time seems to interfere with the wireless reception on my laptop. Also the remote control seems to have a mind of it's own. So not a perfect product.
Summary: The quality of the sound is ok, although at high volumes it distorts, as previously mentioned. However, my major gripes are that the radio presets are wiped frequently, at least once a week, and then need to be reset. Also the controller is extremely poor, and as of now am waiting for a third new controller as the previous two stopped working (yes, I did try new batteries).
