Summary: I bought the iM600 in March 2009. It did what I wanted very well, allowing me to play music from my iPod and easily move from room to room. Unfortunately after about three months I went to plug it in and found that the connector on the back of the unit had apparently come loose and was being pushed in when I tried to connect the power cable. I called Altec support and after about 30 minutes on the phone I had an RMA number and shipping address.
Worked well for awhile then IPod connection just pooped out one day...

Summary: Bought this product from Best Buy about 2+ years ago. Easy to use, very good sound, good portability, charging just fine, but then one day when I was listening to my music from my ITouch, the sound just stopped coming out of the speakers. Kpaut, zilcho, nada, silence...NO MORE music from the speakers! Radio still worked with sound still but no IPOD nor ITouch would work when inserted into the dock.
