Not a good product
2 August 2010
Summary: I wasn't expexting much out of the speakers and it seemed to get good reviews and it worked well for awhile but it soon started saying that my ipods weren't compatible; not just one but four. When it does work you have to jiggle it around and put the dock on an angle or it wont play at all.
Summary: I could never get this to work. It was very difficult to change the cradle if you were using a different iPod. I tried several iPods and it would not dock. It only worked if I used an external cord in the aux input and even then the sound wasn't that good. Better to go with something more expensive.
Summary: After reading the reviews on this page, I was hoping to spend a bit less for good quality sound.... But the sound quality is just awful. Sounds tinny and distorted. No full bass sounds as promised. Very disappointing....
If you like AM radio sound, get this! horrible sounding

Summary: Being a musician, I expected a much better sounding product from Altec. this unit disappointed me with very sub-standard tone. it literally sounded like my old KISS am radio from 1978. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! On a high note: Amazons customer service is/was stellar as always!
Summary: The unit has good sound for the price, however the classic iPOD adapter did not work. Had to remove it and dock the iPOD directly to get any sound at all. With no adapter the iPOD is too unstable, flopping back and forth. Also the unit does not charge the iPOD as stated in the specs.
Summary: We ordered this product after using the Altec Lansing inMotion iM7 for the last few years. We were very happy with our previous speaker system from Altec and after reading the reviews, I thought we would be just as happy with this one. It's a nice looking, very compact unit.
Summary: After purchasing this product, partly based on the some of the favorable customer reviews, I am very disappointed with these speakers. The speakers sound very muffled and the bass sounds terrible! save your money and go with something else...
