Summary: I purchased the iMT620 to replace the iM500 which had a rather large number of miles on it and finally gave out. After reading the reviews here for the iMT620 as well as being satisfied with the previous generation, i gave it a go.
Summary: I bought this from Amazon after checking it out in our local Radio Shack store. The price at Radio Skack was about $50.00 more then Amazon. It is the exact same model that the Shack had. We wanted to test out the sound quality and to see if the Ipod hooked up OK, which it did.
Summary: Two years ago I purchased an Altec Lansing inMotion Max. Since this one worked so well I thought that I would get another for the garage. I decided on this unit as it is a little smaller and easier to use.
Summary: I've been looking for a small, simple device with two features - a digital FM tuner and a dock for my iPhone. Most of what's out there is either (1) too big for where I want to put it on my desk, (2) more features than I want/need, or (3) sound isn't what I expect.
Summary: I'm giving this product the full 5 stars because it does its job really well. I have found a few minor issues, but nothing big enough to merit the loss of a star. I'll mention those issues below. So let's start with the good stuff! First of all, the build quality is excellent.
Summary: Alot of so-called portable speakers are not portable at all, but the IMT620 is made to move. Naturally, it has less thunder than a bulky, heavy speaker system, but those systems are built for your livingroom - who wants to take a $400 speaker elephant to the beach?
Summary: I tested many iPod players at a superstore, raising the volume steadily on each unit until I got distortion. This unit was the best in cranking out loud, undistorted, well balanced audio. It especially excels at clarity.

Summary: OK, I didn't see this particular comparison or any reviews that could convince me one way or the other. I tested both of these extensively at Best Buy with both volumes cranked so I could get a clear picture of the differences.
