Good, but lacks some important features compared to IM-600

Summary: I own both the 600 and the 620. I LOVED the 600, and decided to get an updated version so I could take one to the office. Both are great products with excellent sound and wonderful portability. However, I was surprised that the 620 has some features that I found to be "downgrades" rather than upgrades: - The 620, when set on a table, sits on top of any wires connected to it, such as the charging wire or an auxiliary wire (with which I connect the unit to my computer).
Summary: I purchased this unit two years ago and it was working fine until 1 month ago. The ipod connector no longer works and this was basically the company's response: Altec Lansing Inc." I am sorry but the connector that you are referring to is where you dock the Ipod correct? Well that is an Apple connector and Apple ships them directly to our manufacturing site in China.....that is not a part that we have here.
Summary: One major problem that could break the deal for some. When the unit is hooked up to an ipod or desktop computer via the aux port, it shuts down after 10 minutes or so. For some reason, the unit does not think that it is receiving sound, so it shuts down. I intended to use it as a speaker for my desktop, but with this overlooked flaw it renders the product useless for this purpose.
Summary: Just purchased and used for one evening. The sound quality is great, given the size of the unit. Better than I even expected. Not as good as a Bose docking station, but this unit is only a fraction of the price. The radio works well too, but the antenna needs to be raised to get good reception. I have an iPhone 4S. This docking station worked with the music playing function and with Pandora.
Summary: I cannot express my utter disgust with this device and Altec Lansing support. The first unit I received would shut off randomly. Of course this was just out of my 30 day return to Amazon. I requested a warranty replacement. With AL. I was in their system for nearly a month. I tried calling them midday but they were so busy they didn't even have room in their call queue.
Summary: I'll keep this simple. This product sounds great and as long as you're just using it to play music via iTunes, it'll work fine. The problem comes in if you try to use other apps (e.g., Pandora, ESPN, etc). Unless the unit is plugged in, it will "save battery life" by deactivating after exactly four minutes. Yes, you read that correctly. I searched high and low for a workaround and there doesn't appear to be one. This is a terrible design flaw. I'd avoid this unit.
Great product with serious flaw: turns itself off!

Summary: I bought this product to play my iPod 160GB classic at work. Considering its small size the sound is fantastic. Looks great, too. Unfortunately, it will just stop playing and put the iPod into battery charging mode for no reason, even when plugged into the wall. And it does this constantly. The longest it seemed to play without stopping was about 15 minutes. It seems like every few minutes I have to turn around and hit the play button. It's incredibly annoying.

Summary: ASIN B002I636XM - I live, and sometimes work, speaking and surrounded by people speaking tech-speak. I get so tired of it that even here, where it might be suitable, I'm drawn to speak in normal English. I feel like I ought to apologize. I love the iMT620, no doubt. That doesn't make it flawless.
Summary: I bought this from Amazon after checking it out in our local Radio Shack store. The price at Radio Skack was about $50.00 more then Amazon. It is the exact same model that the Shack had. We wanted to test out the sound quality and to see if the Ipod hooked up OK, which it did. We have a Ipod touch 4th generation and some of the docks didn't fit the Ipod properly. This one was perfect. The sound quality is fantastic for such a small piece of equipment.
Summary: This is a fantastic little radio for the price. Don't expect to get Bose quality sound, but! It does sound real nice for the price range. (and, I'll be honest, I first purchased the Bose sound dock portable, and if I were to rate that, it wasn't worth the money! It was nice, it was clear sounding, but not worth $400.00- it actually didn't sound quite as clear in my home as in the store, and especially less volume outdoors played loudly- but what do you want out of a...
