Almost but not quite.... Battery issues where it shuts off.

Summary: I really enjoyed this boombox. It sounded amazing. It was loud. It had FM radio and plenty of other nice features. However, I purchased this boombox so I can use it outside most of the time and this is where the boombox failed.

Summary: Known issue: poor quality solder joints between AC feed copper wire to PCB 'goldfingers' causes intermittent electrical 'opens' and ultimately 100% loss of power (usually just after 1 year warranty expires). Battery source power not adversely affected.
Summary: I'll start by saying, The sound this little thing puts out is tops for its size. I work in a factory and can hear this over the machinery. But like many previous reviews, mine died after about a year and a half. I did some research and found how to fix the power adapter jack.
Summary: This box sounds great. The only problem I've had with it is the dock has stopped working properly, after only a few months of use from new. It will still charge a phone/ipod in the cradle, but it will not play music from the device while docked.
Summary: Cool object. Much more compact than I expected. Sturdy. Two drawbacks: 1) Not good at all for playback at low volume (say, in my apartment): the sound results very flat. The problem disappears at higher volume. It is definitely designed for parties and outdoor recreation.
Summary: I have had great experience with Altec Lansing powered speakers for my iPod Touch 4th Generation and iPad 1. I had always wanted this speaker dock and as soon as I had a few dollars to rub together I purchased it. But when I listened to it, my heart sank. I was so disappointed.
Summary: I bought this based upon the good reviews on the sound quality. Everything said about this unit's sound output is true. Amazing volume out of a small boombox. Unfortunately, the negative reviews that have been posted lately are also true regarding the issues with battery power.
