Summary: I use the YID-10 to send MP3 music to my Yamaha RX-V671 receiver. So far, the device works very well except for the annoying exception of canceling WiFi reception to my iPod Touch and, occasionally, to my iPhone 4S. Overall sound quality between the YID-10 and receiver rates very high in my estimation.

I still think it's worth having. Saves me from having to walk over to the Receiver if I want to change the music.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Easy To Use, Quality Construction
Summary: I bought this as an accessory for my Yamaha amp, as I've seen someone use it in a shot to play their music remotely from their iPod/ iPhone. Summary: if this device remains in its charging base then it works fine, like a regular dock..lifting it from the base turns the wireless parts ON .. if You do not disturb it, then the signal gets through. Now for the bugs... holding your IPOD, with this transmitter coupled to it introduces Blocking of the signal. I found that I had to hold the Ipod from it's corners.
