Summary: If you use an iPod (any model), than this is a 'slip it into the cradle... and it plays where you left off' item. As with all of the Sonos items, it is a no-brainer to use or set up. Expensive, but as with Sonos.... it reflects the motto, 'you get what you pay for.
Summary: Sonos is pricey, but you can't beat it for a wireless sound system that just works. Easy to set up, easy to use. Had a problem connecting to my computer once, and their tech support took care of it. It's taken me a couple years, but I now have Sonos speakers all over my house and I love them.
Summary: Simple to set up with sonos 5 and and bridge. Installed software on my PC and downloaded controller app for my Galaxy S3. The whole took 30 minutes and I was playing the Ipod or Pandora wirelessly in my living room or the entire music collection on my PC.
Summary: I purchased the Sonos dock to play protected iTunes songs on my iPod instead of repurchasing them and it works as advertised. Only issue I experienced was the dock wouldn't play the track I selected, and after turning the shuffle track option on the iPod off I've had no issues. Another nice Sonos product.
Summary: We've had a Sonos system for nearly 2 years, and it's truly life-changing. We bought this dock about a year ago. Here's why: 1)Instead of buying a second Sonos controller for the kitchen, we bought an Ipod Touch. It's actually cheaper to buy the Sonos dock AND a current generation 8gb Ipod Touch! Plus, the Ipod Touch can do so much more than a Sonos controller. 2)Maybe someday I'll get around to putting my music on a NAS drive.
Summary: I'm a huge fan of the Sonos line - and this product makes it only better. Very nice to be able to have Ipod's plugged in throughout the house and be able to listen to them anywhere in the house. A great addition to a great product line.
Summary: As others have written already, this piece of kit is WELL worth it. Works flawlessly and as a bonus it acts as a docking and charging station for your iPhone/iPod that u can have situated anywhere in your home/office. The awesome thing about Sonos' products is the similarity with Apple's software, interface, and hardware design and look/feel, which as we all know, is no bad thing... These guys make superb, highly-refined and well-thought out products.
