Logitech's Clock Radio -- Sleek, Sturdy, and Durable

Summary: Logitech's clock radio with a dock for the iPhone/iPod/iTouch has been a pleasant surprise. We've owned two other iPod clock radios and they've been abysmal. The biggest problem I've had with them is the iPod/iPhone dock. In almost all instances it's lost connectivity or simply broken after very few uses. Logitech's clock radio is a very solid unit with what's proved to be a sturdy dock for playing and recharging.
Useful Features, Mediocre Sound, Some Poorly Thought Out Engineering

Summary: I'll start by stating I do not own an IPod or IPhone. I chose this unit in hopes it would have excellent sound at this moderately high price point, & for the remote. It's replacing a 20+ year old Panasonic that cost 2/3 less, & included both AM & FM radio & a cassette player. First the good: I love the remote, & the 3 FM presets (accessible by the remote only) are also wonderful.
Summary: I don't have an ipod or iphone yet but will be getting one soon. I was looking for a new alarm as the one I have been using gains time after a bit. This unit is easy to use, the directions are complete. You can choose to use your ipod/iphone, alarm, or radio to wake you up. The only real negative I found with the unit is you can't change the volume of the alarm; you can with the other 2. There are 2 alarms.
Summary: We tried both an iPod and iPhone in this clock radio. There was no compatibility issue, both fit snugly into the slot. It was easy to find songs and play lists. Set up for the clock/alarm were both easy. The sound was pretty bad. It was thin and tinny. Even when we cranked the volume it seemed weak. I know it isn't a Bose, but I have a great iHome iPod clock that has super sound and costs about the same, so I thought they'd be similar.
Summary: From what I can tell so far, this clock radio works pretty well and had decent sound. It's got a few cool features such as synching automatically with the iPhone/iPod, setting the time automatically. The remote has a good number of options as well. Certainly better than my older iPhone clock. One word of warning - this product doesn't work with iPhone 3, despite what the box claims. The clock won't sync with it and it won't receive signals from the remote.
Summary: First off, this has amazing sound! I assume it has subwoofers in it, because when a song has bass you can feel the air pumping out the sides of the unit, and the bass feel on the table, but the bass is not overpowering where all you hear is the rumble, the Treble sounds great even at full volume. This unit, has a clean look and is not overpowering on any table (and small enough to fit on a small nightstand).
Summary: Personal Needs: I needed an iPhone dock, that was also an alarm clock, that also played my playlists when the alarm goes off, that had good sound and was affordable. This fit the bill all the way around. It also looks sleek and saved me space on my dresser (I had a full up JVC bookshelf stereo alarm before... which I now moved to another room).

Summary: Proudly displayed on my computer desk next to my Apple Timecapsule router, and modem. Easy to set clock time, alarm. Has the iPod/iPhone charger on top, and this automatically updates the correct time, too. Plugs into regular power socket. Excellent concise instruction/assembly pamphlet included. Surprisingly light and easy to move around, but not so light that it gets easily knocked off onto the floor (like some of those cheap digital desk clocks).
Excerpt: My son had a cheap and cheerful radio alarm clock in his bedroom and eventually it stopped working and so we decided to purchase him a new one. He has an i-pod and an old second hand i-phone which he has his music on so we decided to purchase an all in one radio alarm clock with a docking station for him as a gift for Christmas.
