Summary: I bought the iP9 January 20012. By October, the clock had stopped working. I followed all the suggestions in the manual (very few) and finally e-mailed Customer Service. They should be called Customer Disservice. They never replied for over 3 weeks and then their answer was, "Do you have a receipt?
Summary: This product was bought as a birthday gift for a friend. After he took it home and plugged it in it worked for a short time. The instructions say to remove batteries and plug for 1 hour and then reinsert and plug in. Didn't work. He brought it over and I still have it.
Summary: Before I plunged into warranty hell, I thought I would see if anyone else has had any experiences with this iHome clock radio and amazed that many have had the same issues I've had. The radio won't come on anymore and the clock won't keep accurate time either.
Summary: I received this product just over 30 days ago (1 day over) and now the unit is not working with my iPhone 4. I troubleshooted the issue with no success - I reset the unit, verified my iPhone had up to date software, made sure it was properly docked and that nothing was blocking either port.
Summary: Received the iHome iP9 and was very dissappointed that it never powered on. These things happen.....but a real hassle to return and get refunded. I did not seek an exchange due to my disappointment.
Summary: This item arrived damaged. This was a birthday gift for my niece. It worked for 5 minutes and quit. Dealing with VCT Electronics was terrible. They accused the person of breaking the equipment and were very rude in handling the situation. I will never buy from them again.
Pros: For $25 this is a decent little clock radio. I like how this particular unit does not go out of "Ipod mode" after my phone auto-locks. I also have a Logitech Pure-Fi Anytime, and after a few minutes of inactivity it goes out of "Ipod mode". When this happens I cannot hear my phone ring or the sou...
Cons: Def not worth $60-80 that it originally retailed at. The rotary dials are VERY cheap feeling (will probably break easily).
Summary: This Dock/Clock Radio was a fairly decent radio/clock/dock. I have had it for six months and the radio suddenly quit working. The dock and 'alarm' still work. Called the vendor as this item has a one year warranty and they said I could send it back for repair but that it would cost $39.95.
Pros: No cellular interference like with previous models. Plenty of volume for bedroom. No longer need a bedside lamp to read at night :).
Cons: The brightness is a bit of a problem. It is adjustable, but if it is sitting right next to the bed it may be too bright as others have mentioned. I am not too fond of the controls, they are not as good as what is on the ipods, but it is functional.
