Summary: The speakers themselves are great, and the remote has a lot of features to offer. However, you practically have to be standing next to the damn thing to get it to respond, the range and accuracy of the remote is a nightmare.
Summary: It does exactly what it is designed to do, produce good quality (not audiophile quality) music from the iPhone or iPod. I do have a slight problem with the speaker covers popping off but just have not taken the time to remedy the situation and since it does not affect the sound I am not overly worried about it. It looks great. It is fairly large front to back, the pictures do not do it justice. it is not huge but it is around 8-10 inches I would guess.
Summary: I wanted a small speaker system with bass, and this definitely delivers. Beautiful design, a little touchy as iHome units always are, but great sound! The only complaint I have is that the remote, which has virtually all the controls on it, did not come with a battery! It said in the box that it should have already been installed in the remote, but I looked through the packaging anyway and still found nothing.
Summary: I have read other reviews on this unit some are luke warm some are great i just received this unit today and i must say it has very good sound quality this is not a boom box altec has that and you would be using batteries to run that on the go , the box and packaging was done with great care i understand for the money it should have some extra stuff but your ipod or iphone has that already the bass is great highs are great the unit is not a unit that you can pack up and...
Summary: I think this system is one of the best, if not the best, sound systems available for iPhone/iPod considering its cost and sound quality. A similar Bose system cost about $400. Yet, IP1 fails in few areas, mainly some basic design areas and secondly sound fine tuning. Good: -Cost is lesser than similar Bose -Good sized remote easily controls iPhones or iPod. -Sound quality is not bad, actually very clean.
Summary: Bought this docking station for my son's 18th to take to Uni. Good design (very "Appley"), remote works well and the sound quality is good. However, if you are looking for something really loud with loads of bass, go elsewhere.
Summary: Just received my IHome iPhone player this week and haven't stopped listening to music since! The unit produces great bass sound and is superior to the majority of other docks I've listened to but despite its two tweeters, it seems to lack purity of sound in the higher range. I've tried to reduce the bass as it allows you to but this still doesn't balance the sound as I'd have hoped.
