Summary: Poor product. Had a heck of a time getting it to recognize that my iPad (iPad1 & iPad2) was plugged into it. THen it stopped recognizing them at all. Tech support from Britain was useless, acting as though the problem was caused by something other than the device.
Summary: The Cambridge iD100, unfortunately, is not compatible with all digital "pre-amps." I purchased the McIntosh D100 Digital Pre-amp, powered by McIntosh's MC302 300W Stereo Amp. I connected the Cambridge iD100 unit first using the "optical" connection.
Summary: This unit felt like a quality piece of kit when unwrapped. Unfortunately after powering it up from the wall wart socket I couldn't get it to switch on. Obviously faulty the unit went back to be replaced another which didn't work either. Obviously a problem with the remote sensor interface.
