Summary: Poor product. Had a heck of a time getting it to recognize that my iPad (iPad1 & iPad2) was plugged into it. THen it stopped recognizing them at all. Tech support from Britain was useless, acting as though the problem was caused by something other than the device.
Summary: If you own an iPod and you have an AV Receiver for your home cinema with a spare audio in (I use coaxial) then you have to buy this appliance! It produces CD player quality music from your iPod that appears only limited by the quality of your front speakers.
Summary: This is a great ipod ipad digital connection interfase, it just do what it is suppose to do and it does very well, out of it you get a digital stream out of your ipod or ipad that through a good DAC like the DacMagic 100 make a fantastic audio source in a very small package, I would recommend it.
Summary: The Cambridge iD100, unfortunately, is not compatible with all digital "pre-amps." I purchased the McIntosh D100 Digital Pre-amp, powered by McIntosh's MC302 300W Stereo Amp. I connected the Cambridge iD100 unit first using the "optical" connection.
Summary: From the info given and the video demo, you might think that this is an all in one solution.... this is NOT a Digital analogue converter as the price of it might indicate.... its just a high priced dock....
Summary: I am having problems with the device delivered to me. I am using it in India, or else I would have gotten back much earlier. The remote control does not work. I thought may be the Lithium batteries supplied with the unit were dead. I changed them but still it does not work.
Summary: Works great with my iPad 3, iPhone 4S. All-digital output works automatically. Stable and large enough. I'm pairing it to the Cambridge DacMagic 100 which is going out to Emotiva powered monitors.
