Summary: For me it was worth getting these larger set of travel speakers as the sound is excellent and they also double up as great speakers around the house. Very sturdy construction. Battery seems to last for a decent amount of time but you need somewhere to charge them as they are not removable.
Summary: Bought as a present for a teenager, who always forgets to charge her i-phone. Because she can warble along to Beyonce to her hearts content with the phone docked and playing her music she is now a happy girl. I bought this from Richer Sounds as they have local stores, and I was able to have a demo of this and similar priced units from Philips, and pricier offerings from Samsung and Pure.
Summary: The sound is fabulous, but the connection for the iPod is a problem. I always have to insert eh iPod twice before it connects and plays. I'm disappointed with the battery power of the Altec Lansing. Not more than a few hours playing, and once you've charged it, it decharges itself even if you don't use it within three days. But if you leave it charging while you play, there is interference with the sound.
Summary: My main problem with this is not the fact that it did not work properly ( it would not play either of our ipods ) as I know that a small percentage of all items are going to be faulty. My problem with this is the seller, Desire IT. When I informed the seller about the problem, the only response was " It will only work with the devices listed on the box ".
