Summary: So we've had this for about 18 months and it serves it purpose which for us is to charge our iPods and be a source of music in the bathroom. We don't use the alarm function so I can't say anything positive or negative about that, but I will say that the sound quality is a bit lacking. The first few times I popped in my iPod and listen to music I thought it sounded kind of flat and a year and a half later I still feel the same way.
Summary: I was looking for a clock radio with preset stations, and the capability of playing CDs. This one does exactly what I asked for, is small but has great sound. Since I use this in my craft room, I love the remote that allows me to easily change stations, volume or turn it off from anywhere in the room. Large dial is easy to read. Perfect!
Summary: I needed a compact disc player to use at the bedside; since I also use an alarm clock and an iPhone dock, I decided to replace my iHome alarm clock/radio/dock with this device. I am enjoying the more efficient use of space that this device provides me over my previous unit. However, if I had to make this purchase again I would buy something else. I don't find the dock to be particularly receptive of my phone (iPhone 4).
Excellent Alarm Clock and technology bridge CD to iPod/iPhone
2 June 2012
Summary: Researched and purchased this product when the wife needed an alarm clock that could play the classic, soothing CD "The Frank Sinatra Collection: The Beegie Adair Trio" as well as support iPod/iPhone. Looks stylish on the night stand and functions well in all respects. The style, form, fit, function, of this product is typically "Sony Style." Handles both "old school" CDs and iPod/iPhone devices as well as radio.
Summary: I bought this for one of my kids so they could play a CD at night to help them fall asleep. It works great. It charges his iPod too. So I am planning to buy 2 more for my other two kids. I don't think it is necessarily too bright. My son still turns on his night light even with the clock in the room, so personally, I don't feel it is too bright. The sound is just fine. Sounds good to me! Overall, great product! UPDATE: I bought this on Jan. 14. Today is Feb. 22.
Summary: I purchased this CD alarm clock even though others had complained about the brightness of the clock, even in the lowest setting. I thought...they must be more sensitive to light than we are...NO! The first night I felt like we had a flood light on in our room, I couldn't believe how terrible it was & it was in the LOWEST light setting. I couldn't even get to sleep in the room. Secondly, the sound is poor.
Summary: Sony always gives great quality. Nice compact multifunctional clock/radio/cdplayer/ipod dock. Once you figure out what all the buttons do (and there are lots), it's easy to use. Nice sound for bedroom, or as in my case, kitchen counter.
Summary: I purchased this item for my wife to give her multiple options for playing music. The sound quality was excellent and it took a bit of use to get familiar with operating it. The main complaint was that the display was way too bright even on its lowest setting. My wife would have to turn it towards the wall. After owning it for 1 year and 7 months, it completely died, no clock, no radio, nothing. I tried replacing the battery and this did not solve it.
