Summary: This a very good product. The only thing that needs to be addressed is the display is way too bright on the lowest setting. I have put red-tinted plastic wrap over the display and its still too bright.
Summary: I went to a retail store with my friend (who has an iphone) and put his iphone in every dockable clock radio to listen to the sound. The Sony was the best by far. Although the user interface is a little awkward, and the remote is kind of superfluous unless you use this as a your music box during the day, the sound really makes it. The most important thing I was looking for was the surpression of GSM buzz. This device does a pretty good job.
Summary: I purchased the iMT800 for use in the house/garage/backyard. What I liked: - Rugged design. While I agree the design may not win any awards, I appreciate function over form. The handles made it easy to tote around. - Big sound and plenty of clean power from the amp (i.e. no distortion at louder levels), nice matching of separate highs, mids, and subwoofer vs. units with combination mids/highs.
Summary: I read a ton of reviews and compared 6 or 7 different models before making my selection. My big concern was sound quality and the brightness of the screen. I am more than pleased with both. The sound quality on this unit is incredible, especially for its size. There are 3 settings for the brightness of the screen and even on the brightest setting it was not too bright at all. I love the remote and the ability to control my iPod or radio from across the room.
Summary: purchased for home office, small unit so fits nicely on a shelf or bookcase. great sound for such a small radio. Remote is a great feature as you can work everything from it, including ipod. Only negative is you can't turn the unit on/off with the remote...which seems pretty dumb.
Don't buy this item if you want to use it only for ipod

Summary: I bought the Sony ICF a few months ago for my daughers room to play my ipod. At first I loved it as it was very easy to use and the sound quality was decent. It also has a remote control which is really handy. However, within a 8-9 months, the ipod docking station just stopped working. I found out that the warranty covers you up to a year but the warranty only covers "parts". The min.
Summary: I can carry this radio from room to room for listening and charging my iPhone without losing the time. I can listen to the Voice of the Tarheels on AM radio while I watch them on TV with the sound down. I can get AM better with this radio than I can with any other radio in the house. I love to listen to audiobooks from my iPhone, or Prairie Home Companion on FM while knitting in my favorite chair. This item really works well for me.
Summary: I was looking for a christmas gift for my fiance who had a really cheap clock radio. Since he had a nice ipod I went looking online for a nice clock radio/docking station. He is very fussy about brand name electronics as am I and I decided to stick with the Sony brand that he loves. On Christmas day his eyes lit up as he opened this and got it all set up. He loves the remote that came with it and sound quality is great as always with Sony!
