Excerpt: It also has a handy button to quickly turn off the iPod or radio . Verdict- I think this Sony Dream Machine is well worth the $100 it cost at the time of writing. It gives decent (obviously not the best) audio quality and is great for iPod use. I’m giving this an 8 out of 10 as I think the usability of the Radio feature could be easily improved with a Seek/Search capability and that the audio quality could be improved slightly.
Summary: This clock radio is disappointing. I had a "dream machine" from the 80s that I used until this one, but obviously it didn't have the ipod compatability, so I thougt this would be a good choice. The main problems for me are the fact that the display is so extraordinarily bright that I have boxes in front of it to block it. You can choose the brightness, but even on the lowest, it lights up the room like a beacon.
Summary: I use this to charge my iPhone and it works great and sounds great. I wish the alarm came on soft and got loader gradually like my Bose did. THe display is Way to bright even on the lowest of the 3 settings and it is hard to read. I have to turn the display away from me and cover it with the tv remote or the room is way to bright to sleep. One of the few that came in white too.
Summary: Pros: * Sleek design, small footprint; * Perfect integration with iPod with built-in charger; * Additional input audio signal source (CD for example); * Compact but complete remote control; * Nice sound for a compact unit; * Double alarms, time zone setting, DST aware; * Very affordable price; * Sony quality.
Summary: This product is perfect for your office. It allows me to listen to the radio and play my iPod. The FM reception is excellent. The alarm clock could be a little more user-friendly but that's ok because I don't even use it. Overall, this is a great clock radio and I definitely recommend it to others.
Pros: Durable, Easy Setup, Fast Charge, Great sound, Remote Control
Summary: Finally - an ipod radio that does what you want it to. I've been trying in vain to find an ipod radio with 2 alarms that you can set separately to different options (ie - I like the ipod to fire up first - and then the buzzer about 10 min later). Finally a hit!
Sony ICF-C1IPMK2 Ipod Speaker Dock Clock Radio: Ugly but top quality!
18 October 2013
Summary: I've had this dock for a couple of months now, having only had a cheap non-brand dock beforehand. I'm partial to Sony products because the overall quality is always really high, and this is very much the case here. Looks-wise, I think its fairly ugly to be honest! And before you ask, it was a gift, I didn't choose it myself! Sony stuff is usually decent looking at worst but this is below-par.
Summary: For a man that have very little interest in most modern day technologies and isn't even a major fan of music my dad is absolutely fascinated by music speakers. So every couple of years, when he has the money he will buy a new music speaker, claiming it to be a gift to my mum or the family in general.
Pros: Clear Sound, Aestetically quite nice, Portable, Great Alarm, Radio use, Compatible with lots iPods
