Summary: The alarm stopped functioning after about 2.5 years! As an alarm clock in the bedroom this was great while functioning. It is easy to use and programme. The display brightness can be turned from bright to off by pressing the snooze button on the top - great when you're half asleep and want to know the time without having to think too much and you can then turn the display off so as not to be disturbed by it. Compact size is good.
Summary: I don't think I've ever had such a great iPod dock before! I don't think the alarm clock volume going up to the highest volume isn't THAT bad. I got used to it. Its not a big problem like everyone says it is. I don't see why JUST THAT PROBLEM makes this whole product go to a 3 stars. Its GREAT. It has TWO alarms, which is pretty sweet. You can change the light settings which is a big win. You can also charge and listen to your iPod and the alarm.
Summary: Summary: A comprehensive iPod and GoGear dock and alarm clock that has good quality sound for both radio and iPod but an interface and buttons that let down the excellent functions. iPod Function: It's an iPod dock (or Philips GoGear for which there is special dock attachment that needs to be swapped with the iPod one that is already inserted) which comes with a multitudes of different dock adapters (all of which are marked underneath so you know which one to choose).
Summary: I normally think highly of Philips' products but not this one. This device quickly proved unreliable. My daughter can no longer use it as an alarm clock because more often than not, it malfunctions. When I test it by setting it for 5 mins from now, it always works fine. Then I set it for morning and suddenly she's missing the school bus cuz the darn thing won't go off, despite being set correctly. It even still shows as being set, yet just won't play.
It will work with an I pod Touch! contrary to what Phillips says in its support forum

Summary: Even though Phillips says it does not work with the i touch ipod "because apple changed its hardware" If you 1. turn on the ipod 2. set the ipod on the music you want to wake up to 3. press the Ipod button on the Phillips player and 4. "dock" the ipod, you will not have any trouble using all features the Phillip player has to offer!!
Summary: The alarm clock on this thing rocks! There is nothing like setting your iPod playlist to 80's heavy metal and then waiting for sunrise. I personally like Dokken or Motely Crue as they have the best "morning wake-up" songs. It's like you woke up in the front row of the concert! Once I went on a two week vacation and accidentally left the alarm turned on. My neighbors thought I had passed away or something and had the cops break in to shut of the alarm clock.
Summary: I needed an alarm with an ipod dock for my bedside table. As such, I wanted something that would produce a nice sound and have a small footprint, alarm clock and radio and be inexpensive. I did a ton of research both online and offline. After testing a number of IPod alarm clocks for mediocre brands like IHome and Iluv, etc. I was unimpressed by their brassy flat sound and incredibly flimsy design.
It looks good, sound quality good, but just too many cons (no sound from gogear mp3, alarm volume super loud, bad fm reception)

Summary: ok, so the item looks great, thought this would be perfect for us since mu hubby and i bothe have a GoGear MP3 player (a HDD6330) and it's almost impossible to find a docking speaker system for these GoGear MP3 players, so anyway we purchased it, looks fantastic on arrival, but volume wasn't working when we docked the MP3 player, we even sent a ticket in to philips, they suggested we send back for replacement, we did that, 2nd one we got, brand new, same problem when you...
Summary: Overall this product is ok but the biggest issue I have is that when using the iPod for your alarm it comes on at a low volume and gets really really loud really quickly. It's ok for just listening to your iPod, but the alarm is not good at all!
Summary: I really like this radio. I purchased it to listen to my iPod in the kitchen. It has a really good sound and it is so easy to use. It fits all 3 of our family's iPods because of the different docking choices. I like the remote however I wish you could control the iPod panel with it. All you can do with the remote is go forward and back and adjust the volume - you can't navigate using the menu on your iPod. I think it is a great purchase for the money.
