Summary: We needed this little dock because of the configuration and location of our system in the house--we were unable to connect the system in the house to the one in the office easily. It works perfectly.
Summary: I've owned this for a couple years now and I can say I've never had a problem with it or my receiver. One thing I wish was that it didn't cost as much as it did (literally it was like $80-90 when I first got mine, and that was 2-3 years ago).
Summary: Not much to this device--plug it in to the universal port on the back of the receiver, drop IPOD on station, play music. Keeps the IPOD charged, and has an adjustable wheel to accommodate differeing thicknesses of IPODS.
Summary: I am very happy I purchased this item. I have an iPhone 4S and it integrates perfectly with my Onkyo NR809 receiver. It plays audio and video flawlessly. Just plug it in the universal port on the back of the receiver and its ready to go.
Summary: If you own an Onkyo receiver that has a provision for a dock then you should really go and get one of these. First i frees up your usb port for a wireless dongle or other device and second the operation of your ipod, etc is smooth and effortless. Very nice job by onkyo to have added this feature.
Summary: Does what it is supposed to do - and better than expected. You can plug in and control the iPod from the iPod, or you can extend control from your TX-8050 remote (depending how you have setup your iPod). Music on the iPod sounds great coming through my TX-8050.
