Summary: The interface is very primitive, but adequate. The brand new Onkyo TX-SR875 I have wouldn't work with the dock. It's a problem with the receiver. Onkyo repair center has had it for over a month. I had problems with other Onkyo products. I don't think I will buy Onkyo products again.
Summary: Great dock in the sense that it allows you to play your iPod through your stereo and control it interactively through your tv (all the while charging), but bad in the sense that the UI is very lackluster (cannot play video, show album art, or display pictures...very DOS-like look). Also, the remote is not intuitive. It has a layout similar to an ipod scroll wheel, but does not function the same way, so it throws you off.
Summary: The dock works fine to play music, but it doesn't not allow video output with the latest version of iPod clasic. Since that's what we have I can't reivew the video output. With the newest iPods it can only be used for music. If you have an older iPod you must use the "Game/TV" input on the Onkyo reciever to get video.
Pros: attractive, Works with Onkyo remotes
Cons: No video on new iPod, Poor Interface, Takes Game input
