Summary: I wanted a powered docking station for my iPod to effect an interface between it and my existing B&O receiver/system. It works perfectly and is precisely what I had hoped to find (for the price I felt it was worth).
Pros: Easy interface wreceiver, Easy Setup, Fast Charge
Summary: I was worried about the ipod menu display and I really didn't want to have to run it through the TV. But no problems -- I have it hooked up to an Onkyo TX-8555 Stereo Receiver and I can see & navigate right from my Nano screen(bought in 2009- 8 gig).
Summary: Unfortunately my Onkyo system didn't come with this dock but it was worth the extra cost to add it. The sound setup was easy and sounds great but the video is a dissapointment. I did get the On-Screen Display to work by plugging directly into the TV but it looks very archaic. The remote is a bit confusing at first since it doesn't work like the iPod but once you figure it out it isn't a big deal. Overall the convenience and sound quality makes it worth it.
Summary: This is an inexpensive way to hear my downloaded music though my new Onkyo receiver. It's great that it changes my Ipods' battery while I am listening to music. I don't have to tie up my computer to get this done.
Summary: I use this with my onkyo 606 rec.I put it in for Zone two which gives me music to my hot tub area and also patio. I also use it just to listen to my Ipod in my home.Good quality easy set up. The on screen display is a little bland ,just black and white. I have a Ipod touch audio only. I do wish I could show pics ect. All in All I like it.
Summary: This docking station allows me to now play my ipod music to a second zone that I was previously unable to do. Receiver would not allow my HDMI source to pass music to my zone 2. The dock has solved the problem. Also, contrary to other comments that I have read regarding navigation. User can either use their monitor or Ipod to display program information. I'm glad that I purchased it---period.
Summary: I am pleasantly surprised with this iPod dock - I expected it to be more of a pain to setup. I bought this along with my TX-SR705 receiver and it is a whiz to use. Initially I couldn't get the video to come up on the TV...but it helps if you turn the TV Out on in your iPod's Video Settings (doh!). :) My only complaint is that the on-screen interface is extremely bread-and-butter, not very pleasing to the eye. The iPod responds very well to the docks remote, though.
