Feel the sting of the Scorpio..

Daniel B., Newegg
6 April 2007
  • Summary: I've spent over 6k with newegg.com in 2007 alone. They need to establish business relations accounts.
  • Pros: It fits the laptop, it's got enough capacity, it's WD. eNuf said
  • Cons: It wasn't free.. but seriously at only 5400RPM I would have rather paid 10 less.

User Review

Anonymous, Newegg
20 March 2007
  • Pros: Great bang for the buck. Purchased several, very few issues.
  • Cons: I've used around 70 of these, out of that 2 were DOA. WD promptly replaced them with a "recertified" drive. Other than that, no problems at all.

CLICKING!!!

Anonymous, Newegg
15 February 2007
  • Summary: WD states that the clicking comes from the drive going into power save standby mode, for the wrong reasons... I hope the clicking isnt anything mechanical that would inhibit the drives performance / integrity.
  • Pros: Started out perfect, still perfect as far as data is concerned etc.
  • Cons: CLICKING appeared 3 weeks into ownership. Attempted to update (Check WD website, re: clicking scorpio) and still no good. The compressed file WD provides is no good, and computer will not boot from the floppy w files. If they have posts intheir FAQ regarding this, than obviously its a more widesp...

  • Summary: These days, this is a hard item to find. Western Digital drives are reliable drives. There is still a need for these every so often, though less and less.

Nice (used) hard drive...

Amazon Customer, Amazon
21 January 2007
  • Summary: The drive came 2 day Prime (opted for the 3.99 2 day Prime) and was packaged nicely. It is a used hard drive and I have no idea how much use it has had, but it was in a static-proof bag.
