Great drives, reliable and fast (for the time). Could be hot, though

Summary: I had two of these (exactly AYYS model) since Jan 2008 in RAID 1 (mirror) 24/7. No problems, till the HDD bay fan died on Jan 2016 (actually, I don't know when exactly it died). So, both drives failed with loud clicking of heads.
Summary: I bought two of these hdd and, as of right now, I am giving this product 4 stars. I do not yet know how they will hold up. I can say that the were delivered promptly and seemed to be well packed in plenty of bubble wrap.
Summary: Have always trusted Western Digital HDD every time I build a new PC. So, when I came across this on Amazon, I was a little skeptical mainly because of the price. Read several of the reviews and they all gave positive feedback, and so I decided to go for it. Glad I did.
Summary: Installation was simple and sweet with it, came in good condition too. It's a nice harddrive to get if you don't want to pay the high price of a SSD or even a 1TB drive, but need more room, especially if you're on a low budget for your computer build.
No problems so far; great price for enterprise drive

Summary: I got this drive and put it in. It was low-level formatted, but not formatted nor partitioned. I formatted as an uncompressed, NTFS drive, with 4k sectors; since a test for a different WD drive online suggested no performance increase for large file reads for 8k.
