Summary: Bought this as a second drive for my HP dv7-2180 Quad Core Laptop. Beware that this unit comes without any hardware, pins, connectors, stabilizer buttons, wires, etc. Nothing but the hard drive. It did not come with any paperwork or installation information. Received, it appeared new and is working just fine. Most value on the internet in the Winter of 2009 for this product.
High Capacity Upgrade for MacBook. Simple Self Install

Summary: Short version: I installed this in my aluminum unibody MacBook. It works fine. I have oodles of free space. It's pretty quiet. At the time, I think it was the largest capacity 9.5mm tall notebook drive available. Long version: I didn't really want to upgrade my MacBook. I had plenty of room on the 500GB hard drive I had purchased just 6 months before, also a Western Digital Scorpio Blue, but something was wrong, and I didn't know what.
Summary: Even though its a 5400rpm disk, it work as good as a 7200RPM disk. It was pretty easy to install it and is working great. Cons: irritating click sound. I have heard the same clicking sound from most of the Western Digital HDD's, but not from any of the Segate ones..
Summary: I purchased this to install into my 60GB ps3. Who would've thought 60G wouldn't even come close to cutting it for this system? Well, installation went smoothly and I haven't really had any problems with it so to speak. My only complaint is that the installation speeds have been slower with this drive than even the standard drive, thus only 4 stars. However, I'll gladly take the hit to have more space.
Summary: I purchased this to upgrade the drive in my Acer Extensa 4620 laptop. It is rated for approximately the same power consumption as the 120G Hitachi it replaced. It is slightly quieter seeking, but a little louder on spin up/down. And it does seem to cycle up and down a little more often than the Hitachi did. But I get 5+ times the space with the same run time on the battery, so I can't complain.
Summary: I purchased two of these hard drives. One for a replacement for my laptop and the other to upgrade my PS3. Everything went as smoothly as possibly and the only complaint I have is that the hard drive in my laptop seems to run a little hot. It has never been hot enough to have the laptop issue a warning or shutdown unexpectedly, it is just warm to the touch. I would recommend getting this hard drive if it fits your capacity needs.
HUGE Notebook Hard Disk Drive - Very Solid for the Price

Summary: Lets face it, we can all use way more storage in our laptops. I threw this in my MacBook Pro as an upgrade to a 128GB HDD that I completely filled up with music and video in a matter of a few months. This drive has been solid and reliable, not giving me the slightest glitch for nearly 2 months now. The read/write speeds, while nowhere near blazing fast, are more than acceptable.
