Cons: Drive failed after 3 months. I received a replacement from WD, and it failed one year later. This is not my first run in with bad WD drives. I have Maxtor and Seagate drives that have been working for the last 8 years. Stick with a brand other than WD.
Summary: WILL SEE IF WD RMA PROCESS IS AS PAINLESS AS I HOPE, AND HOPEFULLY THE REPLACEMENT IS NOT DEFECTIVE. TOO.. I KNOW THESE THINGS HAPPEN ESPECIALLY WITH MECHANICAL DRIVES, BUT I THOUGHT I SHOULD HAVE STAYED AWAY FROM WD...
Pros: WD RMA PROCESS SEEMS TO BE VERY EASY AND STRAIGHT FORWARD.
Cons: DID A WINDOWS PERFORMANCE TEST ON THE DRIVE THE FIRST HOUR IT WAS USED AND THE COMPUTER SHUT DOWN AND WHEN REBOOT COULD NOT LOAD WINDOWS, COULD NOT FORMAT, FOUND BAD SECTORS ALL OVER THE DISK... BASICALLY A BAD DRIVE ON ARRIVAL...
Summary: Got this drive and loaded everything on it. it lasted about 6 Months before it started clicking, first alittle with no problems for about a month and then the crashing started next came the motherboard not recognizing the drive at all. This drive gets good reviews so I was disapointed...
Pros: Nice to Look at.
Cons: Breaks Down after you get comfortable with it.

Summary: Western Digital Caviar Blue 640GB SATAII 16MB Cache 3.5 inch Internal Hard Drive OEM I have a SATA I/II compatible ASUS b'board, but unfortunately this drive steadfastly refused to make itself known to the m'board when plugged in.
Summary: Mine was supplied by ADMI. It was dead on arrival and they have not even acknowledged the return let alone given a refund or replacement. The manufacture date on the drive was over 3 YEARS ago. Hard drives should never spend 3 years on a shelf.
