Pros: we all know the pros!
Cons: After a little over a year the drive is bad. Smart errors and is not bootable. My problem is not with the drive! Summary: Nothing got hit harder by the advent of SSD than the upper end of the HDD market. The Raptor is a terrific device, but can't be seriously considered on a price/performance basis anymore. You're only buying this as a 1:1 replacement for a failed device.
Pros: Still one of the fastest mechanical storage solutions.
Summary: They don't last. They die fast. Get Seagate or Samsung.

Summary: 10K speeds make this a great workstation and gaming drive. That's what I've been using it for the past 1 1/2 years and it's been great.
Pros: I've had this drive for a year and a half now and I've beat the absolute you know what out of it. Multiple OS installs, corrupt OS installs, Windows 8, constant formatting, and taxing usage has not done anything to this drive. It still runs like a charm and at the same as when I bought it.
