Summary: If you are deciding between getting WD Blue and WD Black then definitely get the WD Black. The WD Black is a lot faster than WD Blue.
Pros: Lightning fast. Installs Windows updates quickly. Installed Windows 7 very quickly. Seems like it will last a long time. Seems like it is very reliable. I upgraded the hard drive on a 3 year old desktop PC. The old hard drive was a WD Blue.
Cons: Little pricey for a mechanical hard disk drive. I got the 500 GB WD Black HDD. With the same money you can buy a 250 GB solid state drive.
Pros: In the last days of the HDD.. the bar really moves quite a bit in terms of what is the bare minimum in terms of quality doesn't it ? Cons: THey dont hand them out with your copy of windows
Cons: Died within 30 days, Does not even register in my bios all of a sudden. I was also very sad to find the old hard drive actually had a highe...
Pros: After a previous WD drive had crashed, I wrote off WD. But this model was highly rated, so I gave it a try. 9 months after daily use as my primary photo-processing drive, I am happy to report it is still responsive and reliable.
Pros: Extremely fast delivery; ordered on Tuesday; received it on Thursday. Installed with no problems; loaded Windows 8 quickly with no issues. Has been working fine with no issues and heavy gaming and streaming. So far, so good.
