Hi Folks, I have a Gateway FX6800 o1e Desktop. It came with a 750 G/B Seagate hard drive which seems to have gone south. I managed to load unix Puppy Live via a cd. I replaced the SATA cable to no avail. The bios does not show any hard drives at all, just the cd/dvd rom. I reset the bios to dehault and still no luck. When I boot the Gateway, all I get is a single short beep and the press F2 for bios and the press F10 for boot sequence page. I assume that the Seagate hard drive has gone bad. My question is, will the WD5001AALS drive work in the Gateway Computer
