Western Digital is very reliable, as long as it doesn't immediately fail to format.

Summary: Western Digital drives have proved to be very reliable in my experience. Once in a blue moon, I get one that is DOA, but WD has a very good return policy, and often sends me a bigger drive than the original. If they aren't DOA, I have yet to have one fail over years of installing them for my customers. That's where it counts, in my book. Get your failures out of the way before customer data is at risk. Wish all drives were like this, if they have to have flaws.
Summary: used this hard drive for upgrading my OLD fat ps3 from 40gigs to 500! love it easy to install works great. anyone who is interested in upgrading their ps3 should take a look at this product. also is you are planning on upgrading your ps3 you HAVE TO HAVE A SONY CONTROLLER or one that has the installation data in the controller or it wont work. most of your cheaper controllers do not have it so don't work.
Pros: Just as dirt slow as the 3 year old Seagate Momentus drive it replaced (expected) but runs around 10C cooler and a good deal quieter. MFG date on drive was only 2 months ago, and it's refurbished? Not bad not bad!
Summary: This drive works like a charm. Mwave had another that was refurbished with a 60 day warranty but Ill go for the full 1 year warranty for a few extra dollars anyday, especially if its for a customer.
