Summary: I have several of these drives in the Bytecc external cases to use for external storage and backup. After having a Passport Essential drive get messed up (which may not have been the drive's fault), I decided I felt better making my own external drive. For just a few dollars more than the Passport, I can have the Western Digital 500GB Scorpio Blue in a heavier-duty aluminum case that I believe helps the drive run cooler.
Pros: 3-yr Warranty, Good price, High capacity, Quiet, Reputable
Summary: It must have been about 3 years ago, I have had not issues what so ever and it still runs well, trouble is I signed up for PS+ and it ran out of space a couple of times since then, I suppose it's less work than having to clear out a 1TBHDD though.
Summary: Disappointed with this purchase as it turned out to be faulty. After trying to upload it several times, each time I re-started the console the hard drive was not recognised. I got it tested with another console and a guy who works with programming computers informed me it was faulty. I may have paid extra money in a well know PC shop for them to tell me this, £40, so glad I knew someone who didn't charge me for his work.
Summary: I need a new hard drive as the one on my laptop had been damaged by three stampeding dogs!! It arrived much quicker than I had expected, very pleased with the results! It works really well and is very good value.
