Drive Great - Packing and Shipping Not
25 October 2012
Summary: Another reviewer's uploaded images show a well packed drive in a factory-style shipping carton. That's not what I got. The drive itself is a Western Digital Black, sold worldwide. These drives are reliable, and essentially silent.
Summary: I can not say with certainty if this is just a problem with Macs. But I am certain that it is bad drive.
Pros: Fast drive.
Cons: Purchased on 2-2011. The last month this HD has been rebooting on my MacBook Pro. I thought it was bad software. I swapped it out for another different hard drive the problem got fixed. I am now using it externally trying to encrypt the drive and it says, 20 hours remaining. Bingo! The drive is BAD.

So the pro is that I found out this drive sucked quickly, instead of having it fail on me months later when I have important da...
Cons: The con is that this drive doesn't work for more than a half hour. So yeah.
Summary: DOA...enough said...check your drives before shipping!
Cons: Drive arrived DOA. Would not spin up just clicked. I wrote 1 review and it was up a couple days then they deleted it. This does not make me happy, is this how you get 5 eggs by deleting bad reviews?? This is the first bad review I've given, and it's well deserved.
