Excellent warranty period!

Summary: Had this drive since April 2012 running in my Security Camera DVR non stop recording 24/7. It finally died this month (September 2014). The manufacturing date of the drive shows September 15 2011, so I just got lucky cause I have 28 days left in the warranty period. This drive comes with a 3 year warranty which is a big plus! Will see how WD will honor that and if the process will be smooth or not...
Summary: I had been using a Western Digital Black 500GB as my PVR extender on a SA Explorer 8300. That unit froze every other day during recording since day one and needed a reboot. It became useless. This WD AV drive has been running flawlessly for a month now. Very cool temp and no flickers.
Summary: Works great for my Q See 4516 Security DVR, I don't know much about this hard drive but it was pretty simple to take care of it. And now it works great. silmply open the dvr case then take plug in and out.
