Summary: Great overall value. A friend got their Dell hijacked by a supposed online fix-it company and had their credit card charged almost $1,000.00. When they put a stop payment, they locked the computer remotely. Couldn't even format and reinstall Windows.
Summary: I bought this to attempt to recover an old windows 95 server, so we could restore some old backups. It was cheap enough, but didn't last even long enough for me to get windows installed. Then it stopped working and became another dead, useless piece of antique hardware.
Summary: I have a Dell 4100 that pretty old and needs a new hard drive. Since this one has an IDE type, this 40gb seemed a good place to start. The price was right and not too much lost if I can't make it work. I can always salvage the magnets out and do some other things with them.
Summary: I bought the for an old Compaq Presario 7594 computer. The hard drive was advertised as new. Apparently, mine was manufactured in April 2002. I bought it sometime in June 2013. So you might not get a new hard drive. I used crystal disk info to check the health status.
