Excerpt: I bought two of these 3TB Western Digital Red NAS drives to install in a new Asustor NAS server I bought at the same time, along with two others I already had. They're installed in a RAID 5 configuration, and I feel very satisfied with my purchase. I've read that the Seagate NAS drives are more reliable, but I've had zero problems with the WD drives (I've had the previous ones going 24/7 for over a year, still no hiccups or bad sectors.
Summary: I just bought 6 more of these babies to fill out a TheCus NAS box. I was using those RED WD drives since they were made available a few years back, slowly replacing all those WD Green in my older NAS Boxes (Dns-323 and Dns-325). Recently two WD-Green dies in some of my older NAS boxes.
Pros: Handles high temperature very well, fast and efficient, not too noisy
