Summary: I put this into my laptop when my last hard drive failed. Installation was easy, and went off w/o a hitch. I've had it for a couple months and haven't had any further failures. The capacity is really good for the price. The only thing I don't like about it is that it gets really hot. Like, it rivals how hot the CPU gets. I would never put this laptop on my lap anymore.
Pros: Works fine. Shipped UPS. Installed windows 7 RC for my girlfriend's laptop because the hard drive went bad. She threw it on the floor when she got upset because the World of Warcraft Argent Tournament dailies were way too hard, and it was her time of the month. I ran some tests and the hard drive looked bad, so I ordered this one. The laptop works great now, and is probably faster than the "LESS THAN PREFERABLE" drive the manufacturer put in the computer anyway.
Cons: ... If only the hard drive had the same fall damage reduction that her 80 rogue does.
Pros: Shipping was fast and on time. Unit came in a sealed anti-static bag wrapped in bubble wrap further sealed inside a box filled with eggshell foam. I bought this hard drive to use inside my XBOX 360 after the proper programming was done works great so far.....
Pros: Disk came with my Dell Inspiron laptop, and has worked excellently for over a year. Has dealt with operating and non-operating shocks without any issues. Even a brief stint in an external enclosure while I was testing out an SSD internally worked without any problems. Reliable, reasonably large capacity, and quiet operation lead me to recommend this disk.
Cons: Loud "click" sound when parking read/write heads. This happens frequently, but it seems that the OS is causing the disk to park its heads about twice a minute, rather than the disk controller itself.
Summary: I bought this to upgrade my Macbook's HDD from 80GB to 250GB. The replacement process was quite easy and this drive works fine (so far - I've had it for about a month). it seems like a good value for the amount of storage you get, it's working fine and seems quite fast, and so overall I'm happy with it.
Quiet, cool, and good-performing laptop hard drive

Summary: I bought this hard drive to match my existing Gateway P6831FX laptop's internal hard drive for a RAID array. Matching the internal drive was of primary importance; performance was secondary. It's only a 5200 RPM drive, not a 7400 RPM drive after all. But it runs quietly and at a relatively low-temperature for a RAID drive member, and definitely improves overall hard disk performance by adding RAID.
