Price would be right - if it was actually a new drive.

Summary: I had a similar experience as another reviewer. Immediate SMART failure and mass powered on hours listed. The firmware was also _older_ than the other drives I have in my array. If it was indeed a new drive, I would have at least expected firmware to be semi-current. Also - attempted registration with WD, and the S/N came back as out of region(?). Price is right, but pitching used drives as new = bad juju.
Summary: Great hard drive for an EXTREMELY great price! The purchase arrived WAY before the scheduled date, shipped on the same of purchase even! Kudos to the seller! The drive arrived well packaged and in an ES bag for protection: again kudos to the seller. I checked the SMART status of the drive and wiped (DBAN) the drive, just in case. No reported errors or bad sectors found! My only negatives (not really) was the drive was only SATAII, but I knew that going into it.
Summary: Hard drive is great for server use, but watch carefully when ordering from multiple places, the same drive "RE-4 2 TB..." comes in several variations, not all compatible with each other for raid.
Summary: These are USED Drives!!! The listing is marked as new, they come packaged "OEM" style but the package seems home made and not factory. The contacts seem discolored just like when they have been exposed to the air. I bought 2 drives and after doubting their "NEW" condition I ran a SMART check on them 1 drive has about 6800 hours that like 285 days of non stop up time and the other is 1000 hours!!

Summary: Product is exactly as described but it is important to note that these drives are discontinued. While still under warranty, the warranty starts at manufacture date not sale date, so they only have a couple years left on them off the original 5 year warranty
Summary: Well, if you think you are buying cheap WD RE4 HDD, you are wrong, just like me. The model # is MB2000EAZNL. When I googled it, it's HP HDD, not WD. This doesn't bother me at all. What really bothers me is the power on time is 22,784 hours (31 months 19 days 8 hours). I thought I was buying a new HDD, but I guess the seller is playing us.
Summary: Another old/new drive. These drives were made in 2010!!!. I'm hoping that despite that, it will work for near it's warranty period, which when new, was 5 years. I have no warranty, other then Servertechs' alleged 3 year warranty. That is only over the phone, and is not stated on the invoice. Only a 30 day warranty is stated on the invoice, and a claim that retail products are covered by the manufacturers warranty.
Summary: So far this hard drive has run great and even survived a short in my server. The customer service from this company was great when I ordered the hard drive. This is a really solid hard drive for your server needs.
