A Coffee Grinder in my PC.
John Dillon, Amazon
8 December 2013
Summary: I replaced a 2TB Green Label WD drive hoping for increased performance and the only thing that was increased was the noise levels emitting from my PC. I now have a very loud coffee grinder sitting next to my desk! The Green Label that it replaced was very quiet in comparison..
Summary: Okay so i received my hard drive in the mail today, and it was packaged in a small priority Envelope, once single piece of packing paper around it for shielding. Really you couldn't spend 1.50 more and get a small box and pack it better. your shipping a HARD DRIVE!!!they are very temperamental, you cant ship them like that without the proper packing...Im just flabbergasted that you really sent me my hard drive like this. i am really amazed.
Summary: First thing first, short story: dead after just 3 weeks, now I'm requesting an RMA to replace it. Long story: I bought this drive to replace my 5 years old backup drive, I was totally happy with the performance, noise and power consumption until 2 days ago it just died, as simple as that. No warnings, just some low noise when it try to start the platters, after 4 attemps it just stops and nothing more happens. I'm an IT pro, so believe me, there was nothing else to do.
