Summary: I replaced a 2TB Green Label WD drive hoping for increased performance and the only thing that was increased was the noise levels emitting from my PC. I now have a very loud coffee grinder sitting next to my desk! The Green Label that it replaced was very quiet in comparison..
Summary: I really trust the Western Digital "Black" series of hard drives. I have never had a problem with any of them and I own many. They go way beyond the warranty period and are reliable & fast. I wouldn't own any other brand of hard drives!
Probably the last mechanical hard drive I'll ever own

Summary: SSD's have dominated the performance segment of the storage market for a while now, and I figure it's only a couple years until 1TB SSD's become very affordable. I plan on retiring this drive to an enclosure soon, but for their time, the WD Black drives were the best option to home enthusiasts looking for speed and capacity.
Summary: Western Digital never fails to impress and neither did this drive. Install with little effort, first time going with a 2T hd. My Windows 8 have no problems what so ever. I highly recommend any of the Western Digital Caviar Black Series, it's built with quality and built to last.
Summary: Two terabytes is a huge drive and that makes for a fast drive too, add in a huge 64mb cache and twin processors you get an phenomenal drive for a desktop computer. I've used WD Black drives for years and they are great performers but they aren't as reliable as the 5 year warranty leads you to believe. Just the two 2TB drives I've run one is starting to fail critically after two years.
Summary: Works as I expected - but takes a while to wake up from sleeping. That could be because it is 2TB, or because it is the Green, low power, version. It works though and has been able to hold my media library. It is a great solution and I have been happy with it. I do wish that the warranty was longer though. 1 year just isn't quite enough that I have warm fuzzies with this drive.
