Summary: Wd isn't my first choice but Toshiba (hgst oem) doesn't have such small sizes. Oh well.
Pros: Price is ok, but needed 150gb drives for a server for raid. So anything higher would haven't been a waste. Had these before in use drives and laptops. They aren't great drives, the slightest bump and they crash.
Cons: It's wd. They aren't great at stability in the 2.5" range. Will probably replace the, anyways with hgst drives. But I took a gamble for 40 bucks.
Summary: These is nothing wrong with buying refurbish hard drives. Just check the drive when it arrives with crystal disk info software. If its more than 20,000 hours or any errors just send it back. NE will pay the return shipping just insist. They are good people
Pros: Its speed is 90 to 120Mbps. Its a WD Black drive. 7200 RPM. Its a refurbish drive but checked with HDtune and Crystal Disk it had less that 2 hr run time and 10 power ups. No errors or warnings. Such a great deal. Refurbish drive are a gamble but thanks to smart data you can fine what it has been...
Cons: None at all. Completely satisfied brought new life into a old laptop for $30
Cons: Another Bad drive found. A 3rd one that I had bought from Newegg. Tested it and the same problem recertified poor quality. I had a forth one that is very good out of the total of 4 that I had purchased. I am lucky that that one was alright. Compared it to the other 3 and they are without a doubt ...
Pros: None! I had bought 2 of these from newegg and they are both defective. Would be great if they worked? Took 5 Mins just to do a quick format and the read write speed is at barely 5mbs They are of very poor quality. I am surprised that they even formatted and said that the partition was healthy. NOT!
Cons: I hope that W.D. will replace them as they are just a few month old that I had them stored. Went to use them and found them to be bad. everyone needs to test them as soon as you get them, then they can be stored for later use.
