Looks and works as new!

Summary: Used? It looks and works as good as a new HD. I bought this HD to put it in a USB external enclosure, but I realized it would be less expensive to add it to my computer as a second drive. Works great! Easy upgrade! Very satisfied! Harold S.
Summary: Definitely a poor choice to save a few bucks, though I doubt anyone will try to pick this up today (2015). Get a 50 dollar SSD and save yourself the trouble. This thing does not write or read fast enough, and causes frequent lag on my computer.
Summary: That bottom part has no guard so the disk is open for anything to get caught on it. I'm not sure if this is normal, but I'm not sweating it since the pc booted up, let me install ubuntu on it, and runs well so far. I also bought the warranty. I'm glad I did!
Summary: Had very good and numerous reviews. Have been a WD-Drive person for about 12 years. Arrived packaged adequately and fast via "Prime". upon installation for a Linux system, drive worked perfectly and continues to work for about 2 weeks now. Great price! Buy it, it's a good deal and a good drive!
Summary: After many years of everyday, almost all day use, my old WD Blue 500 Gb. finally started to give up the ghost. I found I didn't really need 500 Gbs., but I did need to stick with WD, because they work and they last, even with heavy use. It is loaded with tons of music, videos, pics, docs, etc.
Pros: Highly recommend. Easy to install, recognized immediately. Linux Mint loaded flawlessly. Works great, quickly shipped.
Summary: Bought this to install linux on, ended up swapping the purpose and using it as a document and music storage with a small virtual machine of linux on it, but I did get linux on it and a successful dual boot working. I haven't noticed slow read or write speeds seems to work as a just fine hard drive.
